After we left, a major storm did quite a bit of damage, according to our much-appreciated, concerned neighbors. Fortunately it focused on our trees, fence, and porch screen and not the house! So we took a little detour and came home for a week, so we could visit friends too.
Allen and the kids worked super hard to get the yard back into shape. They carried sticks, hung fence boards, chopped huge limbs (without the chain saw that we sold in the auction remember!), and burned a ton, and now we have a mostly clear yard. It's now just decorated with the pretty white catalpa blooms!
