Diana's Throne Canyon, canyoneering

We love canyoneering! We've always loved hiking, now climbing and rappeling, so canyoneering just combines them. It was definitely more adventurous than just hiking or climbing and SO fun to figure out how to get over/under/around obstacles. Allen and I did Diana's Throne Canyon, outside of Kanab, Utah, and had a blast. It was a beautiful slot canyon with a series of 8 different rappels, ranging from 15-60 feet. There wasn't any water in the canyon this time (and I'm so glad)! We had to take off our packs sometimes to squeeze through places, or to jump, climb, or slide down. We can't wait to find our next canyoneering route, probably in Zion!
