Hunting or sunsets

Allen's waiting for a buck now.  He has such a pretty spot.  And the does seem to enjoy it too.  He loves hunting, and sitting alert for hours, but I get bored easily.  :)  So I watch the sunset instead.  It's more fun.  :)

Bow hunter

Allen's been considering a compound bow lately (he could get more deer in this area), but they're pricey and left-handed bows are hard to find.  He happened to find one and even traded straight up for it!  So now he's a mighty bow hunter once again.  It's been 20 some years, but he was right on target.  After a few quick shots, it was time to hunt.  Less than an hour later, and after his one and only shot, he had his deer!  Yeah, our third deer, so we'll be eating well for a long time.  His shot was, well, perfectly placed, so I'll spare you those pictures and show you our pretty Fall day instead.  :)

Matt's squirrel, survival class

Matt's hoping to do some deer hunting too, but wanted to get a squirrel first.  Check!  Lizzy and I went to the store and came home to survival class.  The boys roasted squirrels over the fire.  They do learn a whole lot of practical skills around here.  They want to be just like their dad.  (A little scary!)  :)

Back in time

I found a few of those photos, the kind where you "throw the camera at a picture".  At least I take that kind, often while traveling.  On this dreary but beautiful day, we drove to a new town so I just took it all in.  (Except for these few poor attempts of course.)  It looked like stepping back in time, mainly because it is.  Which is why it's so beautiful.  ❤

Lizzy's cover

I snapped a quick, but blurry picture of Lizzy and thought it would be perfect for her first CD album cover.  Barefoot, on a drum, in the woods, playing the ukulele.  :)  Maybe black and white? Or maybe a few filters?  Oh, this is assuming she ever gets over the whole stage fright thing.  :p
