2016 Convention

After Colorado, we headed down to Austin, Texas for our health coaching convention. We hadn't honestly looked forward to it, because we've done SO many conventions. But we trust our coaches, plus had many people we wanted to meet, and we are SO glad we went! It was AMAZING! And so VERY different from any convention we've been to. We've never been surrounded by such positivity and happiness, ever. We'll certainly never miss one in the future! Suit shopping with Allen was amusing. He was WAY to small for his old one. :) We earned a special reception to start the week off and got to meet Dr. A. and Mona.  We had a fun dinner with our team. Lots of meat on sticks! :)  Allen had too much. :)  The convention was exciting and inspiring.  The fuelings aren't just yummy, they're great for you too!  It's fun to see Hyrum and Tiana on stage showing their excitement over the upcoming trip to Costa Rica!  Part of our team with Dan Valentine.

Estes Park

We really enjoyed exploring Estes Park. It's touristy, but very geared toward the outdoors with great shops and cool places to gather along the river. The kids could walk downtown to hang out and they had a blast. Of course the Igels' taffy shop was our favorite! The Stanley Hotel (where Dumb and Dumber filmed, and where Stephen King was inspired to write The Shining!) Cool walkway tunnels with local art. Lots of outdoor spaces to spend time. Of course our favorite time was spent with friends. I loved seeing all the kids having so much fun together and it was so great to catch up with Mark and Kelly. We were really sad to leave! But we're so grateful to the Igels for all their time and hospitality!

2016 Rooftop Rodeo of Estes Park

The Igels also took us to a very cool rodeo! It was so much fun. Even Lizzy wore plaid this time, though maybe not pants and boots. :) Gorgeous setting with the surrounding mountains. Ouch! There's a video of this poor guy below. :) Lots of videos! Bull riding, and the guy above doing a flip: Bareback bronco and a cool rescue: Calf roping:  A really funny rodeo clown, who we didn't think would actually do this jump after all his jokes: Mutton bustin', this girl was tough! The rodeo of the future. This one made me cry, dangit: What a fun night in Estes Park!

Rocky Mountain National Park & Grand Lake

We went back the next day to Rocky Mountain National Park, with Josh this time. And we drove all the way around the park to Grand Lake, a very cute town. And we took a few hikes. So much wildlife! Grand Lake was indeed grand and the town was very fun, with wooden sidewalks and cute shops.
