Trick or Treat, all three of them!

Our three Power Rangers had a ball last night trick or treating. It's so fun to have three to dress up together!

Officially a much bigger family!

Our adoption was finalized today! Introducing Matt and Lizzie Lundy! :) Now Oct. 31st is even bigger at our house. Allen's birthday, Josh's adoption day, Halloween, and now Matt and Lizzie's adoption days too! It was a pretty comical hearing, mostly because of Matt being a silly 4 year old. Fortunately they're used to that and were really great. We had a lot of family and friends there and packed the room! Then we had a pool party and then another at the house with cake and ice cream and of course presents!

Our Ukrainian Adoption Adventure

Josh has been in our family for five years! Seems like just yesterday he was half a world away, and now we can't imagine life without him. He was born on February 17, 2000 in Vinnytsya, Ukraine and joined our family on October 31, 2001. In the Bible, Joshua and Caleb were the only two of twelve spies Moses sent into Canaan that knew God would help the Israelites and they were the only two who entered the promised land. What a wonderful, personal bedtime story! Our story follows our adoption adventures in Ukraine. It is happy, sad, humorous, confusing, frustrating, enlightening, scary, and so many other emotions, but mostly it's just long. >>> Read all about it here ! We hope you enjoy it. We did!

Kitty Litter Cake!

yes, the perfect cake for halloween! it's presented best when you put it in a NEW kitty litter pan and use a NEW kitty litter pooper scooper to serve it!!! i've played with many recipes and just like the shortcut. make any cake and use white or light colored icing. crush cookies over the top (as close to gray as possible looks best). unwrap tootsie rolls and heat each in the microwave for just a few seconds so you can twist the bottom, you know, for a realistic uh, fresh look. then place in the crumbs (aka litter). yes, it's a little gross, but it's halloween right?! enjoy! :)

Soccer Champs!

The kids’ team won the soccer championship! They played so hard and did gr eat!

Buckeye Candy

Of course any good Ohio State fan has this memorized, but in case you don't... CANDY: 1 stick softened butter 1 3/4 cups (1 18-ounce jar) creamy peanut butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 pound confectioners' sugar CHOCOLATE: 6-8 cubes Baker's melting chocolate Mix the powdered sugar and butter then add the peanut butter. It helps to refrigerate before dipping. Roll out the balls and place them on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Melt the chocolate in the microwave according to package directions. Dip the balls, using a toothpick, into the melted chocolate. Refrigerate or eat, whichever comes first.
