Why join Fulltime Families?

In our 10 years on the road, we're often asked about being lonely. It makes us laugh, because we've had to be very intentional to find alone time for our family, thanks to our nomadic community! Because of  Fulltime Families , we can always find other families nearby. We are lifetime members and this club brought us lifetime friends .  When you start RVing as a family, you don't know what to expect. Solo adventures for sure, but what about friends on the road?  We quickly learned there were friends in every campground. And some we followed from campground to campground and state to state!  Sometimes we wanted to climb mountains alone with our family.  Sometimes we wanted to climb with a whole crew!  Sometimes we wanted to explore alone and dip our toes in the sand.  Sometimes we wanted a rousing game of beach volleyball, getting covered in sand!  Sometimes our teenagers appreciated quiet moments to themselves.  Sometimes (oftentimes!) th...

Air Fryer "Breaded" Chicken

I've been using my new Mealthy CrispLid and loving it! I've wanted an air fryer, for healthier cooking, but hated to have yet another appliance in our small kitchen. So I'm glad I took a chance on this lid, because it's perfect for us! This time I tried my trusty (and yes, healthy) baked "breaded" chicken in the air fryer/Instant Pot and it was great! And I didn't have to fry it and then bake it! I just coated and hit start! I was able to do three at a time in the basket. One and a half each was perfect for Allen and me (6oz for a lean & green dinner), but I made more to have the next day too. Matt wasn't home because he pretty much lives with his friends the Albrittons now. :) He's loving his friend time in Florida!   Air Fried "Breaded" Chicken Recipe with the CrispLid 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts 1 egg Parmesan Cheese Salt Pepper Paprika Cooking spray 1. Pound the chicken thin (1/3"). Save time, space, ...

No office, no problem

Even though we live and work in a small space, we can still have a professional looking office in an RV! We often do video chats and we want to put our best foot (face) forward. These backdrops simply hang from the ceiling in Allen's office, aka our living room, aka our kitchen, aka the path to the kids' rooms, aka the *everything* in a fifth wheel. Now we can work, and focus on helping others, without all the distractions. They also hang from the ceiling in my office, aka our bedroom. We used tri-fold cardboard for displays. Then we covered them with peel and stick wallpaper for the plain wall and a giant wall poster for the window view. We can also cover them with a sheet for a green screen. No background distractions, besides our goofy faces. We can't always have an office this gorgeous - but we're very grateful when we do!! Even if it's moving day, and we're parked at a rest area, we can still work from a professional office. Do you have ...

9th Nomadiversary!

We celebrated our NINTH Nomadiversary by launching a brand spanking new WEBSITE and BOOK! Unlocating.com is live and you can find more info about our book, available June 1! We'll still be blogging right here too of course. We also won a huge dinner at a baseball game, so none of us were hungry enough for cake! I know, crazy!! So we improvised. :) Here's a peek at the book! That was a pic from somewhere in Wyoming where we stopped for lunch - and saw wild horses! The dirt road to who knows where is what really drew me in. Here's a peek at the website. Check it out at unlocating.com ! This Nomadiversary we celebrated in Dallas, Texas. Check out our 8th in HI ,  7th in SC ,  6th in AZ ,  5th in AR ,   4th in AR ,  3rd in PA ,   2nd in FL ,  and  1st in VA !

Our Story

Our family of five has been traveling the country since 2010 and we still love the total freedom of our fulltime RVing life! We’ve seen 49 states, visited over 70 national parks, and experienced countless adventures on the road. And we’re passionate about helping others find that freedom too.  Many ask us how we make money on the road and are looking for mobile income options. I share a link to some ideas here  and much more about this in our book, Unlocating . We've done a variety of things, but nothing compares to our current job. Here's how we found it.  While life is great now, in 2014-2015 we really slowed down. We had never had a home base before, but for those two years we sat still for the majority of the year. We bought some land and it was beautiful, but we didn’t do very much because we simply didn’t feel like it. We thought we’d lost our sense of adventure. We’d done so much and figured maybe we had just seen it all and we were finished. We settled into...

It looks NOTHING like it did back then. :) RV tour for fulltime families. Tour of RV for fulltime RVing families.

Vedauwoo, Wyoming

On our way west, we stopped in the Vedauwoo climbing area near Laramie, Wyoming. Free camping on public land? Yes, please! We wanted to cool down after our summer in NC and then TX, but WY was a little *too* cool with 50s & 60s during the days and 40s at night! Moose! The view from my office window was worth it. We did some climbing, though it was chilly and kept raining us out. Lizzy and I sought shelter from the wind. :) Allen and Matt went on an adventure and called me from the top of this mountain, right before this cloud rolled in. We love to play "I can see my house from here." Home :)
