Okay, that made my stomach hurt all the way from Texas! In 1982, I crawled all over the rim because my best friend moved out there to work for Fred Harvey lodges. Not a problem. In 2004, we took our youngest two and if they got within twenty fit of the rock wall, my stomach hurt. Of course, during my trip to the canyon in 82, Donna told me about the people who'd fallen to their deaths while she worked there because the shale they thought was limestone gave way. Be careful!
