We've been wanting to see fireworks over the ocean and finally got to this year in Avalon, NJ. (Our first year was over Lake Michigan and last year we were in Joplin MO.) There was a circus school doing demonstrations on the beach, slack lining, free balloon animals, face painting, bouncy house, etc. It was just a fun day! Then the fireworks barge came out right in front of us, so our seats were front and center.
Lizzy got a penguin and Matt got a tank, neither of which survived the night.
