Deer fencing, birds, and growing chickens

The boys put up a deer fence around the garden.  It's almost invisible and as we were standing around saying what if a bird flies through here?... a bird flew through and bounced off each side for a bit, which made Jack get in on the action.  It got away safely though, finally!

The chicks are venturing a little farther away from their cozy cabin. 

They're little beggars. 

They get pretty far, but then all of a sudden they just run home. And I mean run! 

They're starting to roost a little, but mainly like to just pile into a big lump together.
