Dogsitting The Cups

Another RVing family took a cruise and we got to dogsit for their adorable miniature Dachshunds, Cupcake and Buttercup (who Allen quickly dubbed The Cup Sisters, or sometimes just The Cups).  They didn't lack for any attention. They were loved on and dressed up and probably needed to recover when they went back home! They're small and like to burrow, and we actually lost them a few times, but they always turned up. Usually under a pillow or blanket somewhere. :)      Jack thought they were too little to play with, so he just pouted.  He recently learned to stay off of our bed and didn't think it was fair for them to be up their.  In our defense though, they're just way cuter. :)

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Allen and I were so fortunate to see a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert (rock opera!) in Orlando.  Their show is just an all-out sensory experience with amazing music, singing, narration, lights, lasers, video, & fire.  We had great box seats too! Videos: Lights to the music: Piano spotlight:

Document December, week 1

I did it! I kept up with my photo a day to Document December AND tossed them onto my page for the week. Ah, I love this simple way to keep up with my scrapbooking without stress! I spent about an hour planning the four weeks' pages and now I just add the pics and text. Love digital scrapbooking ! I used Erica Belton's fun Plastic Pocket Overlays to make it look like I simply dropped the pics into a pocket page. I added Nicole Young's tabs for the days .  And I used the Happy Holly Days Megakit for the pieces of backgrounds for the "empty pockets" for journaling. Want to join in? You can do it however you wish. Check out the Document December forum!   For those who are visual and would like an idea of digital scrapbooking, here's a peek at my blank page for next week.  I'll move the day tabs around to whichever pockets I choose for the photos.  I'll "cut" the blue backgrounds to fill in the remaining pockets.  I'll add th...

Snow in Florida

We went with the Sparks and Mann families to see the snow in Celebration, Florida.  They have a fun town square, all decked out for Christmas with "ice" skating, "sleigh" rides, and SNOW!  It snows every hour and it's fun to hear all the squeals and laughter.  Video of snow fun!

Lizzy's presentation

Lizzy put together a whole presentation on painting her nails. She spent a lot of time on it and worked on her "presentation skills".  Charts, lists, graphs, even reading glasses.  It was so amusing that it worked.  :)

Newnan, GA

In Georgia, we got to visit the Garrisons, eat some great chili, and play a crazy fun game. We met the Gardners finally, and they parked beside us for a few days.  All the girls went with Darla to see the Christmas lights, and they ran into Santa! My brother happened to be driving from Pensacola FL to Dalton GA for a job.  When we called him, he was only an hour away, so he stopped for dinner.  The first dinner around our new table!  Even Ryan agreed, my meatloaf *is* that good!   We went to the Garrison's church with the McCloskeys, and had our last meal together (at least for now). Our first time eating at Zaxby's.
