Roadschooling Resources

Roadschooling has gained popularity over the years, and especially in the past few months as the pandemic brought kids home from school. Since we've roadschooled our kids for ten years , and we're surrounded by a mobile community of fulltime RVing families, it's just normal life to us. What is roadschooling? Just like homeschooling, there is a wide range of roadschooling strategies and systems (from school at home to unschooling). As more families consider this roadschool idea, here are just some of the great roadschooling resources available.  Camping Clubs  FulltimeFamilies.com  is a camping club, providing families with roadschooling resources since 2010, including guides, rallies, podcasts, blogs, Facebook groups, a  Roadschooling Branch , and more. The Fulltime Families Explorers is a mobile scouting program for roadschooling kids.  Books about Roadschooling  Unlocating: How Undoing Everything You Think Will Bring True Freedom   This is our book...

Why join Fulltime Families?

In our 10 years on the road, we're often asked about being lonely. It makes us laugh, because we've had to be very intentional to find alone time for our family, thanks to our nomadic community! Because of  Fulltime Families , we can always find other families nearby. We are lifetime members and this club brought us lifetime friends .  When you start RVing as a family, you don't know what to expect. Solo adventures for sure, but what about friends on the road?  We quickly learned there were friends in every campground. And some we followed from campground to campground and state to state!  Sometimes we wanted to climb mountains alone with our family.  Sometimes we wanted to climb with a whole crew!  Sometimes we wanted to explore alone and dip our toes in the sand.  Sometimes we wanted a rousing game of beach volleyball, getting covered in sand!  Sometimes our teenagers appreciated quiet moments to themselves.  Sometimes (oftentimes!) th...

Our 10th Nomadiversary!

It's our TENTH NOMADIVERSARY!!! Ten amazing years on the road with these crazy kids, who are no longer kids! 49 states and countless hikes, climbs, canyons, whitewater, and so many other adventures. And not a single regret for hitting the road for a nomadic life of family and fun! For our 10th nomadiversary, Allen and I went on a photo scavenger hunt for 10s. ⁣We’ve done all the exciting bucket list items and most of the country is still closed, so we made an adventure of our own.⁣ ⁣It doesn’t feel like 10 years and it doesn’t feel like a big celebration. It just feels like our normal life - because it is! Our normal, typical, beautiful life on the road. This Nomadiversary we celebrated in Fair Play, SC. Check out our 9th in TX (where we launched our book!),  8th in HI ,  7th in SC ,  6th in AZ ,  5th in AR ,   4th in AR ,  3rd in PA ,   2nd in FL ,  and  1st in VA ! If you're nomadic, we'd love to know. When is your nomadiversary ...

Author Spotlight on Fulltime Families!

Fulltime Families did an author spotlight on a fabulous author! But I couldn't find that one, so I'll share the one they did on me . ๐Ÿ˜ FTF has been such a big part of our nomadic lives, providing a wonderful, nomadic community as we've traveled the country for the past 9+ years. I mention them in Unlocating a few times, which you'll remember if you've read it. If not, you can go get it now . I'll wait. ๐Ÿ˜† If you want to read more about us and the reasons behind the book, check it out! And thanks so much to Fulltime Families for sharing and keeping us connected! Read the author spotlight here: fulltimefamilies.com/author-spotlight-margie-lundy Fulltime Families connects and supports traveling families by providing education, support, discounts, and community. Unlocating  is an Amazon Best Seller, available in paperback or ebook at Amazon !

Air Fryer "Breaded" Chicken

I've been using my new Mealthy CrispLid and loving it! I've wanted an air fryer, for healthier cooking, but hated to have yet another appliance in our small kitchen. So I'm glad I took a chance on this lid, because it's perfect for us! This time I tried my trusty (and yes, healthy) baked "breaded" chicken in the air fryer/Instant Pot and it was great! And I didn't have to fry it and then bake it! I just coated and hit start! I was able to do three at a time in the basket. One and a half each was perfect for Allen and me (6oz for a lean & green dinner), but I made more to have the next day too. Matt wasn't home because he pretty much lives with his friends the Albrittons now. :) He's loving his friend time in Florida!   Air Fried "Breaded" Chicken Recipe with the CrispLid 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts 1 egg Parmesan Cheese Salt Pepper Paprika Cooking spray 1.
